Schengen Tourist Visa Document Checklist
Schengen consulates decide largely on your documents, so a complete, well-ordered pack is your strongest asset. Gather everything below before booking your appointment, and bring both originals and copies.
Core application documents
- Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
- Two recent passport photosMeeting the 35x45mm biometric specification.
- Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your returnWith at least two blank pages.
- Copies of previous visasIf you have any prior Schengen or other travel visas.
Travel and accommodation
- Round-trip flight reservationA reservation, not necessarily a paid ticket.
- Proof of accommodationHotel bookings or a host's invitation letter for the whole stay.
- Day-by-day travel itinerary
Financial and insurance proof
- Travel medical insuranceMinimum €30,000 cover, valid across the Schengen Area.
- Bank statements for the last 3–6 months
- Proof of employment or incomeEmployment letter, payslips, or business registration.
