Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) charges fees at two separate stages for most visa and long-term pass categories: a processing fee when you submit the application, and — only if approved — a separate issuance fee when you complete formalities. The rates below are drawn directly from ICA’s own pages, including its Long-Term Visit Pass application page and Student’s Pass completion-of-formalities page.
2026 ICA fee schedule
Entry visa (visa-required nationalities visiting Singapore)
- Processing fee at submission: S$30, non-refundable
Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP)
- Processing fee at submission: S$45 per application
- Issuance fee on approval: S$60
- Multiple Journey Visa (if applicable, for visa-required nationals): S$30
Student’s Pass
- Issuance fee once approved and formalities are completed in Singapore: S$60
- Multiple Journey Visa (if applicable): S$30
Visit Pass extension (for visa-required visitors extending a short stay)
- Visa fee where applicable: S$30
Permanent Residence (PR) application
- ICA government submission fee: S$100 per applicant, non-refundable
- Post-approval fees (Entry Permit, Re-Entry Permit, Identity Card issuance): approximately S$120 combined
All fees are payable online — ICA accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or PayNow — and none of the processing-stage fees are refunded if the application is unsuccessful.
Why the two-stage structure matters
The submission/issuance split is easy to misunderstand:
- You only pay the issuance fee if you’re approved and proceed. If your Student’s Pass or LTVP application is rejected, you’ve paid the smaller processing fee only, not the full combined amount.
- The Multiple Journey Visa is conditional, not automatic. The extra S$30 only applies if your nationality requires a visa to re-enter Singapore during your stay (for example, to travel home during a school break and return) — check whether it applies to you before budgeting it in.
- Work passes are priced separately by MOM, not ICA. Employment Pass, S Pass and Work Permit fees sit under the Ministry of Manpower’s own fee schedule, not the ICA visa/pass fees above — see our Singapore Employment Pass guide for those figures.
Beyond the government fee
Budget for these on top of ICA’s fees:
- Medical examination costs required for Student’s Pass and some long-term passes.
- Courier/logistics fees if you’re using a Singapore Overseas Mission or an authorized visa agent rather than applying directly online.
- Health insurance meeting the minimum coverage required for your pass category.
